Life is increasingly becoming more difficult for people around the world as the effects of Covid -19 have left most without jobs, dwindling businesses, homelessness, depression and uncertainties to what the future holds. It is a terrible thing waking up every morning without a direction or a purpose. This frame of mind is not the type born out of laziness but a symptom characterized by a mindset that is slowly and gradually giving up on hope. The loss of hope leads to the eventual death of self, the urge to press on and the drive to achieve. Our quest for success rides largely on our interpretations of hope and how we choose to appropriate it. Hope fuels our passions, motivations and inspirations. It keeps our desire burning in the midst of overwhelming challenges. Hope must be preserved even if everything else dies. We must constantly be able to reassure ourselves that these adverse situations will change and that joy comes with the morning light. To do so, we must be inspired by feeding our minds with positive and genuine experiences of survival and hope. King Solomon's Mine was created as a conduit to project hope and channel strength through inspiration. It is from a realization that our well-being matters and there’s a potency in shared individual experiences, especially when they are positive and transformational. As a blog, we may not be able to change everyone or the prevailing global situations that seem to overwhelm us but we can endeavour to make a difference by inspiring and motivating others to strengthen their hope and refuel their passions to find the strength to persevere.
